Crispy wings glazed with a sophisticated reduction of blackberry whiskey, hot honey, and fire-roasted jalapeño garlic sauce. A perfect balance of fruity sweetness, boozy depth, and roasted pepper heat.

Ingredients

  • 18-24 chicken wings
  • Poultry rub of choice
  • 2 tbsp Melinda's Sriracha Wing Sauce
  • 1/2 cup blackberry whiskey
  • 1/2 cup Melinda's Hot Honey Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Melinda's Fire Roasted Jalapeno & Garlic Sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup raspberry chipotle BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp water
  • Diced chives

Directions

  1. Set up kettle grill with vortex heat (aim for 400-500 degrees F).
  2. Pat wings dry, coat lightly with Melinda's Sriracha Wing Sauce, and season with poultry rub.
  3. Grill wings around the vortex until crispy and cooked through.
  4. While wings cook, add blackberry whiskey to a saucepan and carefully reduce to cook off the alcohol.
  5. Stir in Melinda's Hot Honey Sauce, Fire Roasted Jalapeno & Garlic Sauce, brown sugar, and BBQ sauce.
  6. Simmer until combined. Add cornstarch slurry (cornstarch + water) if a thicker glaze is desired.
  7. Toss crispy wings in the glaze.
  8. Garnish with fresh diced chives before serving.

Equipment

  • Kettle grill (Vortex setup recommended)
  • Saucepan

Recipe Note

Use a high-heat vortex setup on a kettle grill for the crispiest skin without deep frying. Adjust glaze thickness with cornstarch slurry if needed.
